Over the past 18 months, I have worked to remove harsh chemicals from my lifestyle. It honestly started when I was pregnant with Maverick and had hesitation which lead to zero desire to go to my quarterly hair relaxer appointment. This inevitably meant that my curls were growing out in all their glory and I, surprisingly, didn’t mind.
From there, I took a deeper look into all the chemicals I was using in my everyday life and switched up. Household cleaning products, bug spray, hair products, face products, you name it! Let’s be honest, every knows it’s important to watch what you’re putting into your bodies, but what around what you’re spraying into air or using ON your bodies?
Enter Aunt Fannies. The first product I ever tried was their buggy wipes. I absolutely loved them from the smell to the functionality. Not to mention, the kids actually used them! Oh and BTW NO HARSH CHEMICALS!
Well, they developed a new household cleaner that is made with probiotics and essential oils. Somewhere along the lines, we were told that in order to be clean we needed to use antibacterial everything. What they didn’t tell you is that you’re killing all the good bacteria with the bad. So Aunt Fannie’s is adding the good back into our environment! Aunt Fannie’s allows me the piece of mind knowing that I’m not introducing harsh chemicals into my home.
I’m happy to report that we’ve gone a whole three weeks without one of my four kids getting sick? Coincidence? I think not (or maybe it is :-)) Use the code ALICIA which provides 30% off at our website, auntfannies.com. I may have even brought my cleaning supplies with me to Miami. I always travel with cleaning wipes but I thought I’d switch it up. Have you seen the studies on how dirty hotel remotes are? It’s best to disinfect as much as possible.
My Favorite Products
First, I use the Think Dirty app to check the ingredients in all my products. From there, it’s really trial and error. I went through like 10 deodorants before I found one that did its job.
