It’s no secret that I love to travel but I also love to workout, even if it’s only once or twice a week. My body craves movement. I get stiff and cranky when I don’t. Plus, I eat entirely too much to not workout. I know you can’t out-train a bad diet but I’m going to give it my best shot haha!
Working out on vacation doesn’t require a ton of equipment or unlimited time. It requires your body, some simple movements, a dash of motivation and a well-timed nap for my children. Here are my tips and tricks for vacation fitness and 9 workouts you can do anywhere!
My Tips and Tricks for Vacation Fitness
- Have a plan
Plan how many days you want to work out and be prepared. Pick your workouts AHEAD of time. Also remember that fitness doesn’t have to be conventional. A hike is just as effective as a 30 minute spin class or a 20 minute HIIT workout.
- Pack workout accessories
I always bring small pieces of equipment with me. Glute bands, a jump rope, and maybe even a small dumbbell if we’re driving.
- Be flexible and live yo life
Having a plan is great but I never forgo an amazing experience to get back and work out.
